"I think one of the greatest challenges and greatest joys in photography is seeing and working with light. Whether it is natural light or studio light, whether the subject is a model or a mountain, lighting creates the feeling of the image."
-Melinda Kelley (Photographer)

Business and commerce the world over witnessed an unprecedented boom - especially in the latter part of the 20th century. To a large extent, this growth is attributed to technological advancements in communication. High speed and versatile computers replaced rickety typewriters. Faxes replaced the Teletype. Easy to handle and store CDs made bulky files a thing of the past. In fact, the world was now just a mouse click away from businessmen and executives.
This also means that business executives now live in the fast lane, with little time for themselves or the world around them. Leisure has become a near-redundant word. Office equipment has become a mere extension of the human mind and taken for granted.
Yet, the most mundane of objects that litter an office contribute in some way to making work easier. The value of a paper clip for instance is realized most acutely when you are trying to keep a bunch of papers together. Imagine the chaos that reigns when a simple cable connecting your computer to the power source is missing.
The lively photographs in this CD bring several odds and ends that make up an office into sharp focus, giving them a lifelike quality and underlining their significance.

This CD features stunning photographs of office paraphernalia and other objects that are associated with businesses. The results of long hours of painstaking labor, these images are fabulous examples of brilliant still life photography and demonstrate the great joys that photography offers to photography buffs.
EDITORIAL REVIEW:
For many years after its invention, photography ended up second best to paintings as works of art. A painted portrait was potentially more valuable than a photograph taken in similar settings. A painting represented long hours of painstaking labor. The same task, on the other hand, was accomplished by the mere click of a shutter with a camera.
Fortunately for photography buffs, several lens men with an artistic bend of mind and the willingness to innovate took the art to new heights. In so doing, they rescued this art from being relegated to a means of producing portraits in cluttered studios.
Making clever use of lights, shadows, refined equipment and techniques, these men brought freshness to the art. Moving out of confining studios, the camera was now used to capture thrilling images of objects as ordinary and insignificant as driftwood and bring it to life. This CD is a fabulous collection of brilliant photographs, which showcase a fine sense of artistic perception and ability to look beyond that which meets the untrained eye. It’s amazing to see how a discarded set of paper clips or a signboard suddenly becomes a work of art. Obviously a lot of painstaking planning and study has gone into each riveting image seen here.
If you are an amateur photographer looking for inspiration, a collector of artistic photographs or simply an admirer of quality art, grab this CD today.
